Description
STRAH (meaning “Fear” in Serbian and Russian, is energetic, contemporary piece, a hommage to Dmitri Shostakovich. The performer has also to scream a “key words” in russian, like “fear”, “party” “fatherland” “death”.. piece starts with voice of Shostakovich himself, from a Radio speech (1941) from besieged Leningrad… Strong and theatralic solo work for multipercussion set-up that will impress the listener.
